New Year, New Beginnings

by Adam Yesner

With the arrival of the New Year comes a time of reflection and renewal. There is reflection on the positive and negative events that shaped the past year. As well as a sense of renewal, where New Year resolutions are set and a sense of rededication to one’s life pursuits are made. It is a good thing to reflect on the accomplishments that were made over past year, but sometimes people can get too caught up in regrets. While we as humans undoubtedly will make mistakes each year, it is important to learn and then quickly move on. Life cannot be lived in the past; it can only be lived in the present and how we decide to live in the present can affect our future. Isaiah 43:18-19 exclaims, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Keep on moving and find the path the God laid out for you. Whether it is the beginning of the year or the middle of the year, God always provides and shelters those that follow. Job 11:13-19 states, “Yet if you devote your heart to him and stretch out your hands to him, if you put away the sin that is in your hand and allow no evil to dwell in your tent, then, free of fault, you will lift up your face; you will stand firm and without fear. You will surely forget your trouble, recalling it only as waters gone by. Life will be brighter than noonday, and darkness will become like morning. You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety. You will lie down, with no one to make you afraid, and many will court your favor.” So this New Year choose to live in the present and follow the path that God laid out for you. There will be times when we will stumble this new year, which is a part of our human nature. But when we do stumble, find that path and keep on walking ahead. 2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore, if anyone is united with the Messiah, he is a new creation — the old has passed; look, what has come is fresh and new!”

Headed to record in Nashville in a week!

Greg Silverman
Dear Friends,

You heard a lot from us right at the end of 2014 as we watched God move mightly and provide graciously toward our new worship project.

Since then, Rosa & I have been making the song demos, meeting and speaking with our producer and others to prepare the best song selection for this new album.

We are delighted that the time to record has come.  We’ll head down to Nashville a week from today and begin.

Would you be willing to keep us in prayer as we step forward in that which we believe God has called us to do?

Great is the LORD and greatly to be praised in every nation and every generation.  HalleluYah to Yeshua, Jesus, the King!  You are in our prayers and we appreciate you!

God bless you,
Greg & Rosa
